I took this photo a while ago at the waterfalls at Falling Waters, WV. It was my first visit to the falls and, frankly, I was hoping to see a better water flow. However, it has been said that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. So I took a few photos in hopes of making something of at least one of them.
I worked on this photo several times over the months that followed but could never quite get the look that made me feel content. Until this evening. Considering what I had to work with I am now satisfied.
Sometimes in life, as in photography, we may need to step away, focus on something else for a while, and learn something new to acquire a fresh and more satisfying perspective on old ideas and situations that just didn’t seem to work.
